Inta Berga: "At the age of twelve, with an ordinary kitchen knife, I started to crave wooden sculptures from pieces of firewood. The hobby then grew into a serious interest in art. I learned my professional skills at the Riga Secondary School of Applied Arts and the Art Academy of Latvia. However, spiritual growth is in your own hands, and it is essential for creative work. The creative process makes me happy, and I want to pass on my positive emotions to other people. Since 1976, I have participated in exhibitions, as well as international symposiums. The main topic of my works is the spiritual life of a person, its spiritual quests and revelations. The basis of it is my experience and philosophy, which finds associative expressions in my works of art. I acknowledge that I myself have changed constantly, and my works of art have also changed. They are increasingly multi-layered in content – purer, simpler, and more laconic. I find great joy in my life in gardening as well. Recently I have received a great impact from the books of Eckhart Tolle. I am learning to distance myself from my Ego, and it helps me gain more freedom and feel happier." Artist and growth coach Zaiga Putrāma: "I admire the vitality, passion, and flexibility of Inta - she puts no limits on herself - nor to her dreams, nor ideas, courage or optimism...... She knows how to trust her intuition deeply and it gives her a lot of strength – to be it the next piece of art, help her family and friends, or to do anything that makes life exciting..."
